Fairway Privacy Policy
Fairway is a golf practice app. You rate your swings at the driving range and see your progress. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. The short version: your practice data stays on your phone, we collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app, and we never sell your data or show ads.
1. Data that stays on your device
Your practice log stays on your iPhone: sessions, swing ratings, clubs, direction and contact tags, focus notes and settings. We do not upload it to our servers. It is included in your device's own iCloud or computer backups if you have those turned on, which Apple manages under your Apple account. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device.
Fairway also has a web version (mksps-team-golf-tracker.expo.app). There, your practice log is stored only in that browser on that device, and clearing the browser's site data deletes it. The web version sends the same kind of analytics described below, except that its random identifier lasts only until the page is closed or reloaded.
In US states whose laws require it, the app asks Apple for your age range (for example "18 or over"). Apple shows its own prompt, and the answer is kept only on your device.
Fairway does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos or location, and it has no user accounts.
2. Anonymous usage analytics
To understand which features are used and to find problems, the app sends usage events to our analytics provider, PostHog. These events include:
- Actions in the app, such as starting or finishing a session, logging a swing (with the club and rating), adding a tag or changing a rating, how many swings a session had, and earning a badge.
- Technical details: device model, operating system version, the version of the app and its analytics library, and your phone's language and time zone settings.
- A random identifier created by the app. It is not your Apple ID or any advertising identifier, and it resets if you delete and reinstall the app.
- If the app crashes or hits an error, technical information about the error.
Your internet connection's IP address is necessarily sent with each request, and PostHog may use it to estimate an approximate country or city. We do not combine analytics with any information that identifies you, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
You can turn this off at any time in the app under Settings → "Share anonymous usage data". When it is off, the app sends no analytics.
3. How we use information
- To run the app's features on your device.
- To understand usage and improve Fairway.
- To find and fix bugs and crashes.
- To show how many Fairway golfers have earned each badge. Only rounded percentages across all golfers are published (for example "12% of golfers"); nothing about any one person. The app downloads these percentages from our website at most once a day, which sends only the request itself.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.
4. Service providers and international transfer
Analytics are processed by PostHog, Inc. on servers in the United States. PostHog processes the data on our behalf under its own terms and security measures. See posthog.com/privacy. Because the United States does not have a comprehensive federal privacy law equivalent to Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we tell you here that this information is transferred to the United States.
5. Keeping, protecting and deleting data
We keep analytics data only as long as it is useful for the purposes above. You can delete everything on your device by deleting the app. Analytics are not linked to your identity, so we usually cannot find a particular person's events, but you can email us and we will help as far as we can, including deleting data where it can be identified.
To protect information, we send analytics only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to the analytics service to the people who work on Fairway, protect that access with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and choose providers that maintain their own security programs.
6. Children
Fairway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Future features
We plan to add optional sign-in (Sign in with Apple), cloud sync and in-app purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple, and we never receive your payment details. We will update this policy, and the app's App Store privacy details, before any of these features go live.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the app.

Fairway プライバシーポリシー
株式会社MKSP（以下「当社」）は、ゴルフ練習アプリ「Fairway」（以下「本アプリ」）における情報の取扱いについて、以下のとおり定めます。練習の記録はお使いのiPhoneの中だけに保存されます。アプリ改善のために匿名の利用状況を収集しますが、情報を販売したり、広告に利用したりすることはありません。
1. 端末内に保存される情報
練習セッション、スイングの評価、クラブ、方向・当たりのタグ、フォーカスメモ、設定などの練習記録は、お使いのiPhoneの中に保存され、当社のサーバーには送信されません。iCloudやパソコンへのバックアップを有効にしている場合は、Appleが管理する端末のバックアップに含まれます。本アプリを削除すると、端末内のこれらの情報も削除されます。
本アプリにはウェブ版（mksps-team-golf-tracker.expo.app）もあります。ウェブ版の練習記録は、お使いの端末のそのブラウザの中だけに保存され、ブラウザのサイトデータを消去すると削除されます。ウェブ版も下記と同じ種類の利用状況データを送信しますが、ランダムな識別子はページを閉じるか再読み込みするまでしか保持されません。
米国の一部の州では、法律に基づき、本アプリがAppleにお客様の年齢層（例：「18歳以上」）を問い合わせます。確認画面はAppleが表示し、回答はお使いの端末内にのみ保存されます。
本アプリは、氏名、メールアドレス、連絡先、写真、位置情報の提供を求めません。ユーザーアカウントもありません。
2. 匿名の利用状況データ
機能の利用状況を把握し、不具合を見つけるため、本アプリは利用状況のデータを分析サービス「PostHog」に送信します。送信する内容は次のとおりです。
- アプリ内の操作（セッションの開始・終了、スイングの記録とそのクラブ・評価、タグの追加、評価の修正、セッションのスイング数、バッジの獲得など）
- 技術的な情報（端末の機種、OSのバージョン、アプリおよび分析ライブラリのバージョン、端末の言語・タイムゾーンの設定）
- 本アプリが生成するランダムな識別子。Apple IDや広告識別子ではなく、アプリを再インストールするとリセットされます。
- アプリがクラッシュした場合やエラーが起きた場合の、エラーに関する技術情報
通信の仕組み上、IPアドレスが送信され、PostHogがおおよその国・都市の推定に利用することがあります。当社はこれらのデータを、個人を特定できる情報と結び付けません。また、他社のアプリやウェブサイトをまたいだ追跡には使いません。
この送信はいつでも停止できます。アプリの「設定」→「匿名の利用データを送信」をオフにすると、利用状況データは一切送信されません。
3. 利用目的
- 端末上で本アプリの機能を提供するため
- 利用状況を把握し、本アプリを改善するため
- 不具合やクラッシュを発見し、修正するため
- 各バッジを獲得したゴルファーの割合を表示するため。公開するのは全ゴルファーに対する四捨五入した割合（例：「ゴルファーの12%」）のみで、個人に関する情報は含みません。本アプリはこの割合を当社のウェブサイトから1日1回までダウンロードします。その際に送信されるのは通信そのものに必要な情報のみです。
当社は、個人情報を販売したり、広告目的で利用したり、データブローカーに提供したりすることはありません。
4. 委託先と外国にある第三者への提供
利用状況データは、米国のPostHog, Inc.が米国内のサーバーで処理します。PostHogは同社の規約とセキュリティ対策に基づき、当社のためにデータを処理します（posthog.com/privacy）。米国には日本の個人情報保護法に相当する包括的な連邦法がありません。このため、当該情報が米国に移転されることをここでお知らせします。
5. 保存期間・安全管理・削除
利用状況データは、上記の目的に必要な期間に限り保存します。端末内の情報は、本アプリを削除することで消去できます。利用状況データは個人と結び付いていないため、特定の方のデータを探し出せないことが多いですが、ご連絡いただければ、特定できる範囲での削除を含め、可能な限り対応します。
当社は、情報を保護するため、利用状況データを暗号化された通信（HTTPS）でのみ送信し、分析サービスへのアクセスを本アプリの担当者に限定したうえで、強固なパスワードと二段階認証で保護しています。また、自らセキュリティ対策を講じている委託先を選定しています。
6. お子さまについて
本アプリは13歳未満のお子さまを対象としておらず、お子さまの個人情報を故意に収集することはありません。
7. 今後の機能について
今後、任意のサインイン（Appleでサインイン）、クラウド同期、アプリ内課金を追加する予定です。課金はAppleが処理し、当社がお支払い情報を受け取ることはありません。これらの機能を提供する前に、本ポリシーとApp Storeのプライバシー情報を更新します。
8. 本ポリシーの変更
本ポリシーを変更する場合は、このページに新しい内容と施行日を掲載します。重要な変更の場合は、アプリ内でもお知らせします。
